Koh Samui is more of a holiday destination rather than sightseeing one.We had very relaxing 2 weeks over here. Our time was divided between beach time, sightseeing on a bike and evenings out. Many pubs employ live bands to attract customers.
And let's face it, those bands are awful. They can get away with the music, but the singers sound like crying cats! So effect is quite the opposite. We ran away from one pub only to step into similarly painful environment in another pub. In the end, we found it quite entertaining actually.


Wyspa Koh Samui jest idealną wyspą na urlopowanie. Spędziliśmy tutaj bardzo relaksacyjnie 2 tygodnie. Nasz czas wypełniony był plażowaniem, zwiedzaniem na motorynce i oczywiście na wieczornych wypadach do pubu. Wiele pubów zatrudnia tutaj kapele,żeby muzyką na żywo ściągnąć klientów. No, ale niestety trzeba to głośno powiedzieć. Te kapele są tragiczne. Muzyka jeszcze ujdzie, ale śpiewanie to brzmiało jakby koty się darły! Także zamiast przyciągać klientów, to oni odstraszali. Uciekaliśmy z jednego pubu do drugiego tylko po to, żeby natrafić na podobne kocury. Koniec końców nie mieliśmy innego wyboru, jak po prostu uznać to za dobra forme rozrywki.

As with any other temple in Thailand (or Asia for that matter), appropriate dress code is necessary.  Ladies (women) and Ladyboys (as per note above) are not allowed inside this temple with their bare shoulders and skirts/short shorter above knees. / W każdej świątyni, którą sie odwiedza w Tajlandii ( a właściwie to w całej Azji) obowiązuje odpowiedni strój. Panie i Ladyboys (tak jak to wskazuje powyzsza notka) nie mogą wejść do tej świątyni w koszulkach z odkrytymi ramionami i spódniczkami/spodenkami krótkimi przed kolana.

Fascination with Alien & Predator seems to be obvious. The place chosen for this shop seems to be more than weird... just around the corner from Big Buddha statue. / Fascynacja Obcym i Predatorem wydaje się być oczywista. Miejsce wybrane na ten sklep to jakas dziwna sprawa... tuż za rogiem od od posągu Wielkiej Buddhy.

Yet another temple that we spotted while whizzing around on a motorbike. /  I kolejna świątynia, którą przyuważyliśmy jeżdżąc na motorynce.

And look what we had spotted while catching the rays....

Very much needed 'beach time'. / Bardzo potrzebne plażowanie.
